Mike Perez Photography

My passion for photography came at an early age when my uncle gave me my first camera. I immediately fell in love with photography; completed a course in professional photography and graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 1985. I specialize in wedding and event photography, children and family portraiture including destination and wedding engagement photo shoots on location. I enjoy the reputation of being casual, likable, honest and easy to work with. I create storytelling images that capture the full breath of emotions, joys and details surrounding each wedding or photo shoot. "Your wedding day should be spent with family and friends," not the photographer. Capturing the day as it naturally happens will help lend to a day of fun and not of stress also allowing true emotions and real personalities to be captured. I believe the best portraits are those taken while you are being yourself, not while you are molded into uncomfortable poses.
