My father, Clifford Dollar, was a sharecropper. My mother, Mavis Jean Dollar, was a housewife. This picture was taken at the Warden Place on Pea Ridge.We drew water from the well for house use and the stowe wood pile for cooking in a double closet wood stove.We were poor, but we didn't know it.My mother has a diaper on her head with a diaper pin in it. and daddy with his frayed overalls speaks well of them.
