Shifu Mario Salazar has been studying Chinese martial arts since 1992. He started teaching in 1995 as an assistant instructor, later working at the Liu institute in Mobile as head coach and head of the demo team. Salazar has trained both in the US and China with renowned Shaolin masters such as Shifu Shi De Ru, Shifu Shi De Yang, and Shifu Chen Zhen Li. Salazar is a multiple-time national Champion in traditional Kung fu, Tai ji, and Sanda, and has also competed worldwide as a former member of the USA Sanda team. Since opening Mt Song in 2005, Shifu Salazar has, and continues to coach many of his students to medal victories in national Chinese martial arts tournaments, including Sanda fights. Salazar’s passion and talent for the martial arts is unparalleled, working to bring out the best ability in each one of his students on a daily basis.
