Sherborn parent Ryan T. Debin (39), owner of six My Gym Children’s Fitness Center locations in the Greater Boston area, was awarded the My Gym Worldwide Franchisee of the Year at the company’s regional seminar on May 6th. He shares this award with his wife- Jennifer- and their extraordinary team of teachers, Directors and management staff who work tirelessly to enrich the lives of local children through fitness, fun, and socialization. Founded in 1983, My Gym Children’s Fitness is the oldest and largest children’s fitness franchise in the world with over 475 locations in 34 countries. Throughout its history, My Gym has developed an amazing program and facility to help children age 6 weeks through 10 years to develop emotionally, physically and cognitively. The Debin Family acquired My Gym of Medfield in 2012 and soon opened/added five more gyms, two of which were purchased in the past six months. Ryan comes from a background in finance and decided to join the My Gym family after his four (4) children attended classes. “Our family was always drawn to the programs and content of what My Gym offers and we felt like we wanted to be a continued part of bringing this to the community,” he said in an interview in 2013. “I have always loved kids and this felt like a great way to have a positive impact on their lives.”
