Playa Papagayos

Our business started as a small seafood restaurant called La Palapa in San Bernardino, CA in 1993. It began with only a few employees, which was mainly operated by the owner, Alberto, and his brothers. In 1995, he expanded by opening another restaurant in same city called La Palapa Grande. Six months later, in the same shopping center, he opened another restaurant called El Huarache Azteca. There he served Mexican food in the style of his hometown, Guerrero, Mexico and Mexico City. His menu included huaraches, gorditas, empanadas and panbazos. In 1998, his vision expanded and he opened a third restaurant called Las Tortas.
