At R&B Portable Solutions, we build and sell more kinds of buildings than anyone in Middle Georgia. These are some things to consider before shopping for a storage building. These questions will help us help you select the right kind of building for your situation. Things to consider before shopping for a building: Can you take a pre-built building or will you need to have one built on site? We will ask you if we will be able to access your backyard by truck. Do you have double gates and if so How wide is the opening when the gates are fully opened? We need an opening 2' wider than the building you are purchasing. Are there tree branches hanging lower than 14' above the ground. We can trim tree branches for a fee but we have to know before scheduling delivery. Do you have septic system, bleeder lines or sprinklers? When delivering a pre-built building we try our best to miss everything you have marked but can not be responsible for damage done to sprinklers, shrubs, or landscaping. If you are concerned about this, then have us build you a building on site. Do you have neighborhood covenants? Steel siding buildings are our least expensive, but your neighborhood covenants may say your storage building must look like your house, have the same type shingles and siding. Some covenants even specify the pitch of your roof. Ask your neighborhood association what are the covenants before purchasing any building. Do you need a building permit? Many small pre-built buildings can be delivered without a building permit. Almost all built on site buildings will require a building permit. Most Planning and Zoning offices will want you to locate your building at least 5' off of each property line, and some counties require your building be 10' from the property lines. Options? Do you need windows? extra wide door for a lawn mower? a workbench, loft, or electric? Many options are available. Financing? Are you going to pay cash or finance through your own bank? R&B Portable Solutions offers financing. We also Rent To Own with no Credit Check which could be a great option if you can't get approved through traditional financing, or you only want a building for a year or so and want to have the option of returning it and stopping the monthly payments. We are only able to Rent-to-Own Pre-built buildings that we are able to pick up with a trailer should you decide you no longer need the building. We also move buildings!
