Red River Rockhouse

The Red River Rockhouse is a result of a dream that I have had for 15 years, and with the help of my family and friends, now it's a reality. As a father and friend, I cook using the best ingredients possible and create meals that are simple, approachable, and delicious; now we are bringing that same food to you. To do so, we found local farmers, artisans, and ranchers that see food and it's goodness the way we do. In 2014, we were recognized by the Appalachian Regional Council as being one of the top farm to table cafes in the Appalachia regions. As featured in Traveler magazine, we are recognized as a Bon Appetite Appalachia destination. In 2016, we were listed as a top 51 farm-to-table cafe across America. We have also been featured in three cookbooks for our some of our signature dishes. Also, we are really proud of our many ways that we reused and recycled while building the Rockhouse. All the trim around the doors, windows, and skylights is from a shed that was on the property that Aaron took down piece by piece to reuse. Our tables and counters are made by Many Moons Designs and are all reclaimed barn wood right from KY barns that they take down themselves. We recycle our glass, plastic, aluminum and cardboard and plan to begin composting our scraps.
