The Riverstone Taverne has been serving inventive, quality cuisine since 2007 under the ownership of husband and wife team Joyce Hicks and Bruce Iacovelli. A former electrical engineer, Bruce, along with Joyce, who is a software consultant, always had a passion for food and became restaurateurs showing off their creative side.Originally located in Valley City in a historic, quaint building, exuding a comfortable, casual atmosphere, Riverstone Taverne serves American cuisine with a twist influenced by all of the great food capitals of the world. Known for fine dining caliber food in a casual and unassuming atmospheree, there's something for everyone; from the most discriminating foodie to the person who loves a great burger or salad, it's all about freshness. Freshly roasted chicken, turkey, and corned beef for sandwiches are served along with the freshest steaks and seafood. The culinary staff visits local farmer's markets to get the best local seasonal fruits and vegetables, and Joyce even grows her own herbs.
