Our world-famous Lickety-Split and Lickety-Blaster raft trips are by far the two most popular and affordable Class 2-3 whitewater rafting runs available on the Kern River. If you are looking for a more "up close and personal" whitewater experience, try our inflatable kayaks. Our half and full day Upper Kern trips are what Class 3-4 whitewater rafting is all about! And, we have the "Thunder-Run for those wanting a more advanced Class 5 whitewater trip. We also have the oldest, largest, and most experienced kayaking school in Southern and Central California. Sierra South's co-owner, Tom Moore (an Eagle Scout) designed the Whitewater Merit Badge program for scouts, in cooperation with the Great Western Council of Boy Scouts of America, more than 30 years ago. All of our fun and exciting classes and trips start in late March and run through September.
