The store in Richardson, which opened in 2003, is actually the second location for Silver Pyramid. In 1984, Steve Collins started his first store at Vikon Village. It developed such a strong following of loyal customers who said they knew of no other place to find the sort of cherished items they discovered there. Steve Collins' grandfather, Dr. Peter Gad Kitterman, was a physician who learned to read hieroglyphics and wrote a book, now out of print, called "Medicine in Ancient Egypt" which began Steve's fascination with pyramids, therefore, it had to be the name of his store. Silver Pyramid continues to grow and expand, and now has a presence on the internet at www.silverpyramid.com.
