Soban

D.H. Shin was born in South Korea, and started cooking alongside his mother at a young age. As a teen he began with internships in top hotel restaurants in Seoul and went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He worked in countless kitchens on the East Coast, in the Great Lakes area of Minnesota, and finally in and around Portland for the past 7 years. Soban is his first restaurant, and he can't think of a place he'd rather be than here in Oregon City!
