In the fall of 1988, Sophie Dabakarov opened a small jewelry boutique in Fresh Meadows, New York. Having a strong sense of community, she decided a location within her hometown would be best. Her prior experience in the diamond and fashion jewelry industry in New York City’s diamond district provided her with the foundation needed to rapidly grow her boutique. In just a few short years of being in business, the stellar reputation of Sophie’s Creations grew throughout New York, the tri-state area, and beyond.
