At Sotto Luna you are welcomed with warm crusty peasant bread and even better homemade breadsticks dripping with garlic butter and whole heads of roasted garlic, to spread on the bread. Salads are especially good and other openers include a platter of glistening seafood salad, tiny tender baked clams, a shish kebab of tasty grilled veal sausage skewered with roasted red peppers and many more. Main courses range from a giant veal chop, served as ordered, and covered with artichokes and mushrooms to an even better flaky salmon steak set over a wine-and-butter sauce tinged bright magenta by beets. Our pizzas have thin crusts and are nicely smoked tinged from the brick oven with some incredibly tasty toppings. For pastas, try the marinara sauce over angel hair or atop plump cheese-filled ravioli. A special of penne with portobello mushrooms and the red sauce made pink and creamy by mascarpone cheese is splendid.
