STHS Home Health and Hospice

The St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice program provides palliative and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families in the home through an interdisciplinary team that addresses physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Hospice of St. Tammany is a member of the Louisiana/Mississippi Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and is led by medical director Alexandra Leigh, MD. Hospice of St. Tammany recognizes the personal worth and dignity of each individual from conception to death and believes that death, as the final stage of living, is a natural process. We neither hasten nor postpone death. We affirm life and believe people should have choices regarding their lifestyle in the final phase of life.
