Originally from Texarkana, Arkansas, Charles and Virginia Ghormley and their three sons opened the Hush Puppy Restaurant in September of 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the success of the first Hush Puppy Restaurant, the family opened a second Hush Puppy Restaurant in January of 1986.
