In 2003, John Plumstead decided to take his more than 20 years of experience in the wholesale tire business and strike out on his own. He opened Tire Distributors of Georgia, Inc. in Macon, Georgia (this location is now relocated to Byron if you're looking for us). Believing that the independent tire dealer is still the backbone of the industry, Plumstead decided he wanted to deliver quality products and service to his customers without being bound to corporate governance.
