TEG Torta Shop - Tortas el Guero is a Phoenix local restaurant specializing in the traditional Mexican sandwich known as the torta. A torta sandwich is a type of sandwich on a specific crusty white bread roll served hot and garnished with avocados, chili peppers, tomato and other fresh ingredients. The torta varies by meat ingredients such as ham, breaded pork, carne asada, al pastor marinated pork, cochinita pibil, and other meat ingredients. At TEG we have brought to Phoenix the long history of the torta sandwich from its Mexican roots and infused it with a new modern twist with new flavors such as the Hawaiian torta featuring grilled pineapple and ham.
