Unique Photography by Tracy King

Tracy King is a Boston native who has a background in computer animation and design. Over the last 18 years, she has been a designer and brings that background to her photography. She has found photography a haven for her to recall life’s events. Tracy loves seeing the saturation of color in a photograph but also the personal feeling you get when you look at a photo. She believes this feeling can come out in a black and white photo as well. For her, Growing up, Tracy remembers her mom telling her about all of the photos she took so that Tracy would remember her childhood. With her mom as a role model, Tracy began photographing her surroundings, not just people but also landscapes and animals. In fact, her cat Tehmie was one of her first subjects. Her exhibition, “Spring Hue,” was an original idea to showcase her photography work and her friend Maureen Hardiman’s work as a makeup artist. She wanted to encapsulate creative makeup that fit each person’s personality and therefore most of her photos are meant to draw you into each person’s world.
