Vietnam's Pearl

From Patrick Nguyen. Our story begins after the fall of Saigon, Vietnam: -Flown to the Camp Pendleton refugee camp in San Diego, Ca -Moved to Los Angeles. And after working many odd jobs to save enough money, the Nguyen family (which includes all of the Nguyen Brothers and their wives) teamed up to open our 1st business in America. -Vietnam's Pearl 1st opened it's doors in West Los Angeles on the corner of Pico and La Cienega. With Vietnam's Pearl being one of the 1st Vietnamese Restaurant in the area, it became a popular location for many of the locals and celebrities. With success of the restaurant, my parents and my dad's younger brother decided to move up to the Seattle, Washington area to expand the family business (Opened in 1982) After that location became a success, they decided to move back to Los Angeles and now my mother opened up her own restaurant in Costa Mesa, California (Opened in 1995)
