Zinc Bar

Established in 1993. The Zinc Bar has moved and is now open in an historic location in the heart of Greenwich Village. Our new home is a storied space rich in music and performance history dating back to Jazz's Golden Era. A former cabaret and Jazz club from the 1930's to the 50's, known as the Cinderella Club, it was home to legendary musicians from Thelonious Monk to Billie Holiday. The deep history along with our careful restoration(still in progress) beckons you to a long lost era when music, art and life were celebrated nightly in the darkness of underground clubs in New York City. Luminaries of the period such as Mae West and Frank Sinatra would find solace within our historic club's walls while discovering the new talent of their generation.
